Creamy Milk Cake recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 cups milk (whole milk preferred)
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking dish or similar size pan.
  2. In a bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Sift in the flour and baking powder. Gently fold the mixture until smooth with no lumps.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  5. While the cake bakes, combine the milk and sweetened condensed milk in a saucepan. Heat gently (do not boil), just until warm.
  6. Once the cake is done baking, poke holes all over the surface using a fork or skewer. Slowly pour the warm milk mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak in.
  7. Let the cake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) for best flavor and texture.

Optional: Top with whipped cream, a sprinkle of cinnamon, or fresh fruit before serving.
