Turkey Wings

Ingredients

  • 4–6 turkey wings (separated at the joint if desired)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt (or to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning (optional)
  • 1 cup chicken broth (or water)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Rinse turkey wings and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a large bowl.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, rosemary, seasoned salt, black pepper, and poultry seasoning.
  4. Rub the seasoning mixture all over the turkey wings, making sure they’re evenly coated.
  5. In a large baking dish or roasting pan, scatter the sliced onions and minced garlic across the bottom. Place the seasoned turkey wings on top.
  6. Pour the chicken broth around (not over) the turkey wings to keep them moist while baking.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 1.5 hours.
  8. Remove the foil and increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C). Bake for another 20–30 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and the wings are fully cooked (internal temp should be 165°F/74°C).
  9. Optional: Broil for the last 3–5 minutes if you want extra crispy skin!
  10. Serve hot with your favorite sides like rice, mashed potatoes, or collard greens!

Let me know if you want a spicy version or gravy to go with it!
