Ingredients
- 1 cup full-fat milk (or unsweetened almond milk for dairy-free)
- 3 tbsp powdered erythritol (or other preferred sugar-free sweetener, to taste)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and powdered erythritol.
- Stir continuously until the sweetener fully dissolves.
- Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low.
- Add the butter and stir until it melts completely.
- Let the mixture simmer gently for 30–40 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reduces by about half and thickens slightly. Do not let it boil.
- Once thickened, remove from heat and let it cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
- Pour into a jar and refrigerate. It keeps well for up to 1 week.
Optional Tip: Add a dash of vanilla extract at the end for extra flavor!
