Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground sausage (spicy or mild)
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Optional: 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage with softened cream cheese. Add shredded cheddar cheese if desired, and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Assemble the Crescents: Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles. Place a spoonful of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle. Roll up the dough, starting from the wide end, and place the crescents seam-side down on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the crescents are golden brown and flaky.
  6. Serve: Let them cool slightly before serving. These are perfect as appetizers, snacks, or even breakfast treats!
