Classic Creamy Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 2 cups grapes (red or green), halved
  • 2 cups pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 1 apple, diced
  • 1 cup mandarin orange segments (canned, drained)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt or sour cream
  • 2 tbsp honey (or sugar, to taste)
  • 1 tsp lemon juice (prevents browning of fruit)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add strawberries, grapes, pineapple, bananas, apple, and mandarin oranges.
  2. Sprinkle lemon juice over the apple and banana slices to prevent browning.
  3. Gently fold in mini marshmallows (if using).
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together yogurt (or sour cream) and honey until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour the creamy mixture over the fruit and toss gently until all the fruit is well coated.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving for the best flavor.
  7. Serve cold and enjoy your refreshing creamy fruit salad!
