- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

For the Coating:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the egg, milk, and vanilla until combined.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).
- Divide batter evenly into muffin cups, filling about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let muffins cool slightly. In a small bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon for the coating.
- Dip each muffin top in melted butter, then roll in cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm and enjoy the donut-like flavor!
