Castor Leaf Healing Remedy

By Amna Malik

Ingredients

  • 4–5 fresh castor leaves (washed and cleaned)
  • 1 tbsp castor oil (optional, for extra potency)
  • Warm water (for washing/soaking)
  • Clean cotton cloth or bandage

Instructions

  1. Wash the castor leaves thoroughly in warm water.
  2. Slightly warm the leaves over low heat (or dip briefly in hot water) to make them soft and pliable.
  3. Apply a thin layer of castor oil on the leaves (optional).
  4. Place the warm leaves directly over the affected area (such as sore muscles, joint pain, or swelling).
  5. Cover with a clean cotton cloth or bandage to hold the leaves in place.
  6. Leave it on for 30–60 minutes, or overnight for stronger effect.
  7. Remove and clean the area with lukewarm water.
  8. Repeat daily for best results.

Tip: Castor leaves are traditionally used for pain relief, inflammation, and detoxifying purposes. Always do a patch test before applying, and consult a healthcare provider for chronic conditions.
