Carnivore Bacon Chocolate Cake

A decadent, chocolatey cake with a savory twist—crispy bacon bits combined with creamy chocolate for the ultimate carnivore-friendly dessert.

Ingredients (8-inch cake, serves 6–8)

  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 4 large eggs

  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese (optional for extra texture)

  • ¼ cup heavy cream

  • 6 slices crispy bacon, chopped

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven:
Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8-inch cake pan with butter or line with parchment paper.

  2. Prepare bacon:
Cook bacon until crispy, then chop into small pieces. Set aside.

  3. Mix butter and cream cheese:
In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and butter together until smooth and creamy.

  4. Add eggs and vanilla:
Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract. Mix well.

  5. Incorporate dry ingredients:
Sift in cocoa powder and salt, then fold gently until fully combined.

  6. Add cheese and bacon:
Fold in shredded cheese (if using) and chopped bacon evenly throughout the batter.

  7. Bake the cake:
Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean (a few crumbs are okay).

  8. Cool and serve:
Let the cake cool for 10–15 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Optional Topping

  • Sprinkle extra crispy bacon on top or drizzle with melted cream cheese for a “frosted” effect.

Tips

  • Use high-quality cocoa powder for the best chocolate flavor.

  • For extra indulgence, fold in small chocolate chunks (sugar-free or unsweetened).

  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
