Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1½ cups milk (warm)
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- A pinch of salt
- Optional: powdered sugar for dusting, fresh fruit for topping
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs and sugar until frothy.
- Add warm milk and vanilla extract; mix well.
- Sift in flour and salt, then stir until smooth.
- Add melted butter and mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into a greased 8-inch round or square baking dish.
- Cook on the stovetop over low-medium heat, covered, for about 8–10 minutes until set.
(Alternatively, you can microwave for 6–8 minutes or bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes if you prefer.) - Let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar and top with fruit if desired.
- Slice and enjoy warm or chilled!
