Aloe Vera & Cinnamon Wellness Drink

(A refreshing antioxidant drink — NOT a medical treatment)

Ingredients (Serves 1–2)

  • 2 tbsp fresh aloe vera gel (from a cleaned, peeled leaf)

  • 1 cup water (cold or room temp)

  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon or 1 small cinnamon stick

  • 1–2 tsp honey or lemon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the aloe:

    • Cut the aloe leaf, remove the green skin, and scoop out the clear gel.

    • Rinse the gel well to remove latex (yellow layer), which can cause stomach irritation.

  2. Blend:

    • Add 2 tbsp gel + 1 cup water to a blender.

    • Blend until smooth.

  3. Add cinnamon:

    • Use ½ tsp ground cinnamon and stir, or simmer a cinnamon stick in ¼ cup hot water for 2–3 minutes, cool, then mix into drink.

  4. Optional flavor:

    • Add honey or lemon.

  5. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Use only inner aloe gel, not the outer leaf.

  • Ceylon cinnamon (“true cinnamon”) is gentler than cassia cinnamon.

  • Drink 1 glass per day, not more.

Tips

  • Avoid combining with medications without checking with a doctor — aloe vera can affect absorption.

  • If you have diabetes, cinnamon may lower blood sugar — monitor levels.

  • Do not drink aloe vera if pregnant or breastfeeding.
