- 4 large eggs

- 1 cup whole milk

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking pan or line with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
- Alternately add the dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix gently until just combined. Avoid overmixing to keep the cake tender.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
