Carnivore Crack recipe (Zero-Carb “Bark”)

By Muhammad Faizan

🥓 Carnivore Crack (Zero-Carb “Bark”)

Crispy bacon + buttery caramelized cheese topping = pure carnivore candy.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thick-cut bacon

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella (or cheddar)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 tbsp cream cheese

  • 1–2 tbsp collagen powder (optional for chewiness)

  • 1–2 tsp vanilla extract (optional, animal-free but allowed by many carnivores)

  • Pinch of salt

🔥 Instructions

1. Cook the bacon

  • Lay bacon strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment.

  • Bake at 400°F (205°C) for 15–20 minutes or until crispy.

  • Remove and keep on the tray.

2. Make the “caramel” topping

In a small saucepan over medium heat:

  • Melt butter + cream cheese together.

  • Stir until smooth.

  • Reduce heat to low, add:

    • Shredded mozzarella

    • Optional collagen

  • Stir until melted and thick like caramel.

  • Add a tiny splash of vanilla if you want dessert vibes.

3. Assemble

  • Pour/spread the caramel-cheese mixture over the bacon strips.

  • Smooth with a spoon.

4. Crisp it up

  • Put the tray back into the oven for 6–8 minutes until bubbly and golden.

5. Cool + Crack

  • Let cool completely so it hardens.

  • Break into crunchy pieces (“crack”).

😋 Storage

  • Fridge: 5–7 days

  • Freezer: up to 1 month

Best served cold or frozen for maximum crunch.
