Lemon Ginger Iced Green Tea with Honey

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water

  • 3 green tea bags

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, sliced

  • ¼ cup honey (or to taste)

  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice

  • Ice cubes

  • Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil water
    Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan.

  2. Add ginger
    Add sliced fresh ginger to the boiling water. Let it simmer for about 5 minutes to release the flavor.

  3. Steep tea
    Remove from heat and add the green tea bags. Cover and steep for 3–5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

  4. Strain & sweeten
    Remove tea bags and strain out the ginger slices. Stir in honey while the tea is still warm until fully dissolved.

  5. Add lemon
    Let the tea cool slightly, then stir in fresh lemon juice.

  6. Chill & serve
    Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or until cold. Serve over ice cubes, garnished with lemon slices.
