Condensed Milk Cake (One-Bowl Recipe)
Ingredients:
- 1 can (14 oz / 400 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
(Optional toppings):
- Powdered sugar for dusting
- Fresh berries or whipped cream
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch (23 cm) round or square cake pan, or line with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, condensed milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gently fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Don’t overmix!
- Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean and the top is golden.
- Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar or serve with fresh fruit or ice cream!
Tips:
- For extra flavor, add a bit of lemon zest or almond extract.
- You can also turn this into a layer cake with whipped cream or jam in between.
